Kyle continued his pursuit of the mutant through the forest of stalactites; however, upon bursting out of the cave entrance, he unexpectedly plunged over a cliff, and both figures subsequently plummeted into the deep sea. In a split-second turn of events, the falling Kyle struck and knocked unconscious the mutant just as the latter surfaced. Ultimately, he brought the comatose mutant back to the Tech Headquarters.
